COURTYARD GARDEN

Contemporary Garden: Welcome
It's got style,
it's got function,
it's got colour & it's easy to maintain!
Just so relaxing
A patio area is set off centre large enough for two lounging chairs and surrounded with a lavender hedge. Behind it a small multi stemmed tree provides the vertical structure, underplanted with soft grass and frothy erigeron.
The colour scheme is soft grey, with blue, white and pink making it easy on the eye and so relaxing.

There are pockets of interest everywhere
In this picture you can see how the garden is divided into areas - like rooms. A patio for sitting or dining, a place for a bench, paths for access.
There is axis and geometry yet it is softening and gentle.
Pops of topiary around the garden are fun evergreen injections and the zinc pots add further interest and consistency.
We covered the existing fence in a simple wooden trellis. It's a great way to give uniformity to a garden and hide unsightly rails if they are on your side.
We planted a semi evergreen hedge against the back boundary and roses and clematis will climb nearer the house using the trellis as a frame for support.
Zinc pots are a further anchor
